Dentistry knows many methods to solve the problem of a missing tooth with dentures. In addition to dental health, the importance of aesthetic dentistry is increasing more and more. However, both aspects should necessarily go hand in hand. For this reason, it is highly relevant to delegate this responsibility to someone who, in pursuing the goal of aesthetic optimization, puts the aspect of the dental health as the highest priority.

The absence of teeth or a tooth can be caused by various reasons, such as genetic predisposition (e.g. the absence of permanent teeth), malnutrition, an accident, or a lack of dental care. For those affected, it often means avoiding laughing and speaking, as well as having serious consequences for self-confidence.

A denture using a dental implant is a suitable method to permanently fill a tooth gap and thus improve the quality of life.

In some patients, a long period of edentulism, periodontitis or the presence of inflammatory processes leads to a reduction in the jawbone. This process can jeopardize the secure anchoring of the implant.

PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is a new technique that can be used to accelerate wound healing and reduce postoperative pain. A fibrin matrix consisting of leukocytes, thrombocytes, plasma protein and many growth factors is obtained from the patient's own blood through the centrifugation process and is used in this concentrated form for bone formation. Since this accelerates ingrowth and at the same time bone formation can be supported regeneratively, faster healing is being achieved. After the healing period, the artificial tooth (the crown) is put on in a second step.

Of course, preventive bone formation is not necessary for every patient. Nevertheless, precautionary measures should be taken into account in the case of a precise anamnesis.
