BREAST AUGMENTATION

A well-formed breast that fits your own body is a wish that we cannot influence by ourselves. The size and shape of the breast is determined by genetics. These can only rarely be influenced, e.g. by hormones (particularly during pregnancy and breastfeeding) or after a significant weight gain or loss.

In contrast to other body regions which we would like to change, e.g. if you want a flatter belly, we cannot change the breast and actively influence it.

If the shape or size of your breasts cause a restricted quality of life, the breast augmentation can be a suitable method to fulfill the desire for change.

For Whom is an Breast Augmentation Suitable and How is it Performed?

There are different procedures with different materials to realize a breast augmentation. For this reason, the individual starting point and measures of optimization must first be discussed in great detail.

Breast Augmentation With Autologous fat (Fat transfer Breast Augmentation)

Some patients want a breast augmentation without the use of implants. In this case, a treatment with autologous fat is being made. But for this certain conditions must be met.

First of all, the patient must have sufficient fat tissue, as the first step is to extract intact and vital fat cells. These should come from areas that do not react very strongly to weight fluctuations.

In a second step, these are prepared and injected through punctures in the areola and the fold between the skin and the glandular body, as well as distributed directly over the muscle.

Experience has shown that not all transplanted fat cells that have been injected survive. Therefore, after a breast augmentation with autologous fat, a loss of volume is to be expected.

If necessary, follow-up interventions may be necessary, since an the amount of fat that can be transplanted in one operation is limited.

The final shape and size is usually only visible after three months, but then it is just as stable as the natural tissue. For this reason, a breast augmentation that aims to increase the size by more than one cup should not be performed with autologous fat. This is where breast implants are the best solution.

Breast Augmentation With Breast Implants

Nowadays almost everyone has an idea of what perfect breasts should look like, while the porn industry also has an influence on this, by very often suggesting breasts that are disproportionately large for the physique.

As with the trend towards voluminous lips, it is here also highly relevant that it has to match the physique and body shape.

In order to achieve a harmonious overall picture, the type and application technique of the silicone implant is very important.

We only work with doctors who use the latest generation of silicone gel implants. These have a lifetime guarantee and, above all, offer leakage protection in the event of damage to the implant, which is achieved by means of a cohesion silicone gel. Furthermore, the shape of the breast implant is also decisive for the natural end result. While previously rounded silicone implants were used, nowadays there are also anatomical breast implants.

Another Factor is Also The Placement of the Implant

In the subglandolar position, the implant is placed between the mammary gland and the pectoral muscle. The dual plane technique describes the placement of the partial storage of the implant under the muscle. In the submuscular position, on the other hand, the implant is placed completely under the pectoral muscle. Implants placed under the pectoral muscle have the advantage of being less palpable and it also gives a teardrop shaped breast that is closer to the natural image of a breast.

FAQ

What kind of risks can occur?

As with all surgical procedures, breast augmentation involves certain risks that cannot be ruled out. A distinction must be made here between the general risks of general anesthesia, intolerance to medication, including local anesthesia, and the specific risks of breast augmentation.

In addition to the general risks of an operation, the following specific risks are to be assessed as increased in breast surgery:

  • Swelling, bleeding, wound healing disorders and infections can occur as a result of breast surgery. In rare cases, breast augmentation with implants can also result in capsular fibrosis, which means that the organism forms more connective tissue due to the foreign implant. In extreme cases, this can lead to pain or displacement of the implant, which could  make corrective surgery necessary.
  • The assessment and explanation of the risks must always be made individually and depending on the patient and his anamnesis in a detailed consultation with the operating doctor. Breast surgery requires a very experienced surgeon in order to achieve an ideal result in addition to minimizing the risks. Unfortunately, there are still many failed surgeries that need to be corrected. Our doctors also perform corrective operations and for this reason, among other things, they know exactly what to take care of and master their craft and the techniques.
